TERRAVISION EU Project recently played a significant role in the workshop titled “Mining Industry and Regional Government Cooperation: Opportunities for Fostering Innovation and Building Development.” This event, crucial for advancing collaborative efforts, brought together S3P mining regions, regional governments, and key industry stakeholders.
Organized by the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) and supported by the Junta de Andalucía, the workshop focused on the dynamic interactions within the mining industry aimed at enhancing the sector in the Andalusian region through innovation and sustainable development strategies.
The event featured presentations and roundtable discussions, creating a platform for stakeholders to engage and strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem and forge stronger European partnerships. TERRAVISION contributed by showcasing its new Earth Observation (EO) services, designed to improve the entire mining lifecycle.
Attendees included representatives from mining companies, nine R&D EU-funded projects, officials from the Directorate of Mines of the Regional Government of Andalucia, and partners from the S3P mining regions.
This closed event was a significant step in reinforcing collaboration among S3 platforms, institutional partners, and other projects active in the mining sector. The workshop successfully gathered numerous participants including the S34I project, GAIA-TSF, DEXPLORE EU Project, PERMANET Project, MaDiTraCe PROJECT, WIDEX EU Project, and Li4LIFE EU Project, all united in their efforts to bolster European partnerships.
