TERRAVISION was among the EU-funded projects featured at the “Vision for a Digital Mining Future – Cross-Project Event on Digitalisation and Innovation in Mining“, organised by the DigiRaw projects’ cluster as a side event of the EIT RawMaterials Summit. The hybrid session took place on 19 May 2026 at 15:00 CET, on the opening day of the Summit at The Egg Conference Centre in Brussels.
The event brought together several European digital mining projects to exchange results, experiences and perspectives on how digitalisation and innovation can drive a more sustainable, efficient, and competitive mining sector in Europe. The DigiRaw cluster unites EU-funded initiatives working across the raw materials value chain, from exploration and extraction to monitoring and environmental performance, with the shared goal of reducing Europe’s reliance on imported critical raw materials through technological innovation.
During the session, Dimitris Lokas from CORE Innovation (CORE), the partner leading TERRAVISION’s exploitation and innovation management activities, presented the project’s vision, objectives, and progress. The presentation highlighted how TERRAVISION is working to enhance the entire critical raw materials value chain, from exploration to extraction and monitoring, towards implementing sustainable mining practices, and how its innovation services fit within the broader European digital mining landscape.
